About company: Founded in 2018, ProBit Global is a Top 20 cryptocurrency platform featuring access to more than 800 cryptocurrencies and over 1000 different markets. ProBit Global aims to position itself as a world-class exchange for both crypto enthusiasts and novice investors, and boasts a user base of more than 2,000,000 active users, globally.
ProBit Global outsources the majority of their marketing/branding acitivities to DNSEver (the latter being my employer).
I made the loading screen animation for the platform’s ”Exchange” page; this is the main feature among their crypto related products. The original logo design, created by Yookyung Kim/김유경, consists of the icon and the text ”ProBit Global”. I was asked to specifically animate the icon and not include the text.
When clicking on the Exchange page, the loading time is really quick. Consequently, the animation has to be around 1 second. When I was trying out different concepts, the challenging part was to find a motion that could be interrupted at any given moment (meaning when the page is fully loaded while looking at an unfinished animation) while the logo remains recognizable. I comes down to being a split second impression. I came up with the final concept: a unit that is built by it’s own shape. In other words: the isometric cube that is the ProBit Global icon is built by isometric cubes. The final animation lasts 1 second and 20 milliseconds.
For those born in the 90’s perhaps remember the Nintendo Gamecube startup video and the ProBit Global loading screen’s motion design is definitely a nod to by that era of motion graphics.
